SDIM was founded in 2006 by Jan Dirkzwager. He previously worked for four years at media agency Kobalt as an online media consultant. His roots lie in the Bulb Region, but Jan has lived in Haarlem for many years now. After 11 years at full throttle, he sold a majority stake in SDIM through a management buyout. He remained active at SDIM as a shareholder until he stepped down completely in 2024. Jan has been the proud father of his son, Arie, since early 2017.
