SDIM is a member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Nederland (IAB) and thereby conforms to all rules and regulations that are associated with it. This includes the Dutch search engine marketing code of conduct for the search industry, but also the Guidelines on Social Expertise.
The IAB is the trade association for the online advertising and interactive marketing industry and includes the Taskforce Search. She is primarily concerned with the professionalization and stimulation of this sector. Secondarily, IAB acts as an independent knowledge platform and source of information for marketing professionals and trade press.
The mission of the Search taskforce is to promote knowledge, transparency, and innovation in the Dutch market for search engine marketing. This includes both search engine optimization (SEO) and advertising in search engines (SEA). The task force intends to achieve this by, among other things, providing knowledge documents and events, conducting its own research and supporting relevant research by third parties and actively propagating its mission to the market.
The Social Taskforce wants to further professionalize the social media market and has drawn up eight guidelines for the use of social expertise. Each guideline has a question that can be added to an RFP. Input was also requested from various other industry parties such as the DDMA, IPAN, and Pitchview. This is a living document.
IAB Nederland has 167 members and represents operators, advertising agencies, advertisers, media agencies, TV and media companies, and mobile telephony providers. IAB Nederland works closely with IAB Europe and IAB USA.
